Through the Homestead Model™ my mission is to support neurodivergent creatives and entrepreneurs let go of shame and become unstuck so they can thrive in their professional and personal lives.
Welcome – firstly I just need to clarify – I am not a coach coach. I describe myself as a neuro-affirming and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming mentor and change maker, a qualified counsellor accredited with the BACP.
So a little about me … my name is Yasmin Shaheen-Zaffar, I am a BACP accredited trauma and relational therapist counsellor. I’m also a strengths based ADHD certified practitioner.
I am neurodivergent myself and created the Homestead Model™ by combining my own lived experience of being a late diagnosed neurodivergent individual, partner and parent raising a neurodivergent family.
But also working professionally with neurodivergent clients in my therapy practice and being a creative entrepreneur myself (with lots of creative projects scattered over a lifetime – until I found out I was neurodivergent).
Until my late diagnosis and developing a deeper understanding of how I relate to the world around me – I spent much of my life living in chaos, shame, financial trauma, discontentment and resentment.
Having now broken this pattern and transformed my own life, I now support other high masking creatives and entrepreneurs thrive in their professional and personal lives. I am also the creator and founder of brands Polyvagal Teen®, Scribbledeedo®, Neurosloth® and The Hearts Whisper®
On a personal level I have a special interest in supporting those who want to address shame, becoming unstuck, parenting, body image, mixed faith/ heritage relationships, intergenerational trauma, mother wounds, bereavement through suicide as well as those wanting to live a fulfilled and contented life.
